Service Description: Hotspots of stock depletion for both natural capital assets (sea surface temperature and
eutrophication) were identified by extracting the 20% of grid cells
with the highest depletion values from each individual asset layer. The
combined map of marine depletion was created by overlaying the two natural
capital asset hotspot layers, and summing for each grid cell how many asset
hotspots are present, to obtain a value between 0 (the area was not a hotspot
of depletion for any asset) to two (the area was a hotspot of depletion for both
assets).
